BBI and NovarumDX plan to raise the bar at this year’s AACC event through the launch of its new hand held reader.

One of the first mobile readers available for the IVD market, the Novarum Reader uses smartphone based software which can be developed to read any lateral flow test.

Compatible with most leading smartphones on the market today, the portable technology allows users to test in any location – providing instant access to quantified results, removing ambiguity and saving time and cost over lab based testing.

Mobile connectivity allows existing phones to be easily deployed as readers by downloading Novarum’s patent protected image processing technology via app stores and Google Play.

Leigh Thomas, Head of Sales commented “Every lateral flow test is unique; Novarum is a bespoke service which when customised for your lateral flow test creates a hand held reader that provides specific and accurately quantified results in an instant. The connectivity of the reader is also revolutionary and separates this from existing platforms”.

AACC 2012 takes place in Los Angeles, California from the 17th to the 19th of July.  Visitors will be able to find NovarumDX in the South Hall, at booth 627.
